So this is the wekkend of the community arts event ii organize.  2 1/2 day arts festival with over 40 locations in the city plus hands on kids art activities.  I'm glad it is finally here.  WHEW.   It has been a blast so far ..the weather has been great all the galleries, business and studios ai have talked to are having a great time.,  The families and people I have run into all say it's wonderful.

i'm happy ...asides from a few go arounds with the press on lack of coverage I'm happy.  the cafe is doing greta this weekend.  my gallery at the cafe is featuring a chocolate artist ...all her sculptures are made of chocolate and all edible. 

i'm having fun....so anyways ...soon off for today's events...

Events come to play in your life that change you on a daily basis.  Mostly subtle but occasionally so in your face that you can not help but be affected.

For those of you you have read Nat's Blog you know what happened the other day.  For those of you who haven't i would urge you to read it and then think of your loved ones and children and hold them all close. 

My  love and devotion to her and the children is without question a unending bond we share.  Through this past year we have been through a lot together as well as individually. 

She is a  strong , intellgent and caring woman.  Her compassion, drive, love and sense of being is beyond compare. Her love of family, life and search for beauty in all things is just some of the many reasons i love her.  She is a amazing woman.   it always appalled me what I knew of the situtaion with her ex and over the past years have had to deal with it to various degrees.  Nat and I have talked about it, done a few things about it etc. 

But the other night very much drove the message homein a way words can not  that this can not go on.  To listen to that ...to hear the crying and to hear the fear in the kid's voices ...it goes without saying it changes you inside.

I love her more then anything in the world, I adore the children and to have her and them subjected to that is ...I duno ..I am at a lack for words to wrap up my emotions and feelings in still. Women are to be treated with respect and love always.  I was raised that way..To have this happen to any woman and her children let alone the woman that you love is appalling.  it has to stop, the cycle needs to be broken.

Her work on changing laws is even more important now ..my feelings for her even more galvanized.  My sence of purpose and place in this world even clearer.  things need to be changed, laws need to be changed and people's views need to be changed.

So my friends, look into the eyes of your lover or spouse, child and family and realize what a precious gift you have.  Respect them always.
