Inspired by recent events and my feelings for a woman and her children.
Jason

It couldn't be done,
So she was told
But onward she went
A woman so bold
To challenge this world
For she had a dream
To right the wrongs of man
so it would seem
By belief in herself
That her cause was true
To build a better life
For me and you
To make us believe
in ourselves again
That pain and suffering endured
Will at last end
She lived our path
Has felt our pain
But picked up the pieces
And began again
She changed the world
Dreams no more shattered
Our future secure
Thanks to this woman
And what she endured
Everyday is a new beginning, never give up, just believe in yourself because a brighter tomorrow is always on the horizon.

Forgive me for not getting to comment on this sooner, I just got a bit busy lately...but I like this one, Jason. I am a bit confused on the interchanging of the words "she" and "ours" though...could you tell me how that came about for this poem?
RavenI am a poet, so I am curious...and I like to completely understand what it is that is in the heart of another poet when he writes...
